Frank Relle Gallery is hiring a salesperson to join our small team selling original fine art photography to collectors from around the world. We're looking for someone who cares about art, enjoys talking with people, and brings a generous spirit to the gallery experience.

The role

You will welcome visitors to the gallery, ask thoughtful questions, and create genuine conversations about travel, photography, New Orleans, and Louisiana culture. You should be curious, attentive, and comfortable listening for what interests people, while also recognizing the moments when an interested visitor is ready to be guided toward collecting a piece.

You will speak with visitors about Frank Relle's photographic techniques, the locations where the images were made, and the stories behind the work. A natural enthusiasm for New Orleans, Louisiana, art and storytelling will be a strong fit.

This role rewards someone who finds genuine satisfaction in both sides of gallery work: the conversation that becomes a lasting connection, and the connection that becomes a collector. Most of our sales happen over weeks or months of thoughtful follow-up, not in a single visit.

You will be responsible for tracking client conversations in HubSpot CRM, following up by email in a personal and attentive way, and building the long-term relationships that turn first-time visitors into returning collectors.

What the day looks like

In the gallery: welcoming visitors, facilitating sales transactions, maintaining the space, and staying engaged through quieter hours as well as busy ones.

Outside the gallery floor: organized CRM records, consistent follow-up emails, and ongoing outreach to people you have met. You will use Google Drive, Gmail, and HubSpot for digital communication.

Compensation and schedule

Base pay is $18 per hour. Commission begins at 5% of sales and rises to 10% when monthly sales goals are met. Including commission, current team members earn $35 to $46 per hour total, with seasonal variation throughout the year.

Shifts include evenings until 7:30 pm, weekends, and some holidays. Weekend availability is required.
